Dr. Florence Nyangara is a highly experienced senior research and evaluation scientist with over many years of experience in international development programs aimed at saving lives, reducing poverty, and enhancing the resilience and capacities of communities in low-middle income countries (LMICs). She has an impressive track record of working with major global and national entities, including USAID, PEPFAR, WHO, UNFPA, UNICEF, European Union (EU), Global Fund, DFAT, and others across the private and public sectors. Her work has significantly contributed to creating evidence-based solutions for reaching underserved communities worldwide. Dr. Nyangara is founder and CEO of PIMA International LLC, a consulting firm specializing in program performance, impact evaluations, applied research, and data analytics in various sectors such as health, climate change and environment, agriculture and food security, democracy and governance. She holds a Ph.D. in Demography & Rural Sociology and M.Sc. in Agricultural Extension and Education from Pennsylvania State University, along with a B.Sc. in Agriculture from the University of Nairobi. Previously, she worked at the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), ICF, and Palladium and played pivotal roles in guiding MERL activities, establishing research ethics, and leading performance evaluations of multi-sectoral projects.
